On October 30, 2008, Dade County issued $6,500,000 of its General Obligation Sales Tax Bonds, Series 2008.  Gray and Pannell LLP served as bond counsel on the issue.  Proceeds of the bonds will be used by Dade County, the City of Trenton, and the Dade County Industrial Development Authority for various capital outlay projects approved by the voters of Dade County in conjunction with the reimposition of the special local option sales tax (SPLOST) in the County.

The City of Lakeland issued $1,750,000 of its Water and Sewerage Revenue Refunding Bonds on October 16, 2008.  Gray and Pannell LLP served as bond counsel to the City on the issue.  The Series 2008 Bonds were used to currently refund outstanding water and sewer bonds of the City and will save the City over $100,000 over the life of the debt.

On October 2, 2008, Gray & Pannell LLP served as special counsel to the Murray County School District on the issuance of a $5,000,000 Tax Anticipation Note.  The TAN will be used by the School District for operating expenses between October and the end of the calendar year.
