Marvin Fentress is a partner who works primarily in commercial real estate and finance and representation of creditors in bankruptcy reorganizations. Mr. Fentress has practiced in Savannah since 1986, following his graduation from the University of Georgia School of Law.

A native of Norfolk, Virginia, he obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 1983. Mr. Fentress’ commercial practice involves the representation of lenders, developers, and borrowers in transactions secured by real estate or personal property. His bankruptcy practice concentrates in representation of creditors in Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings.

Mr. Fentress is presently General Counsel for the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority and TMX Finance, LLC. He also represents several banks in the Savannah area. Mr. Fentress is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Georgia Real Property Law Section and the Bankruptcy Section. He served as a district elected representative and director of the State Younger Lawyers Section, President of the Savannah Younger Lawyers Section, and an Executive Committee member for the Savannah Bar Association.
