Anne Carson Thompson

Anne Carson Thompson practices primarily in the areas of municipal bond law and public finance. She has worked in public finance since 2003, representing issuers, underwriters, lenders, and borrowers in a wide variety of debt financings throughout Georgia. Her experience includes taxable and tax-exempt public finance transactions, such as governmental general obligation and revenue bond financings, 501(c)(3) hospital and private school financings, Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) bond financings, and tax incentive transactions.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Thompson earned her B.A., magna cum laude, in English and Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi Honors College. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she served on the Georgia Law Review editorial board. Following law school, she clerked for two years in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Ms. Thompson is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of Utah, and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. Before joining Gray Pannell, she practiced law for 13 years with King & Spalding LLP in Atlanta as part of their Public Finance practice group.
